customer came into my store today. She wants a camera flip phone for free. Zero out of pocket. her line is a 9.99 share line. She just changed plans about three months ago so her account is under contract for 21 months. This line is eligible for an upgrade. She didn't want free after rebate...just free. And if she couldn't have a free high end camera phone on a 9.99 monthly revenue line...she would pay the 175 and cancel that line.

A next customer right after her comes in and says he dropped his phone and it was run over and Verizon needs to give him a replacement. He was three months into a contract that he initially DECLINED the insurance. But it wasn't his fault the phone fell out of the car and he shouldn't have to pay for ...

i had a guy call me to file a "complaint" about a store b/c they wouldnt give him a free/cheap phone b/c his doesnt work, is out of warrenty, he declined insurance, and he's not elig for upgrd til next yr. stated we dont know how to do business and he should call the attorny general...advised our business is giving the customers an option for their service since they are the one's paying for it and that option is insurance/extended warrenty...since he declined this option, he then aggreed to our "way of business" that he's SOL if he declines these feats.

in regards to free phones, i posted this earlier and may help u guys b/c this is what i give to customers:

why do they think that they can get a free phone/cheap phone b/c they've...

He may have had the Verizon Samsung A790 or Motorola A840, which do use sim cards. One can be ordered through DF.

a customr calling in to verizon, talking to 5 different reps with the same question and getting 5 different answers.

or, heres one, a rep telling customers to dial *228, that will fix your phone. LOL, that *228, the super glue fix all for verizon. 🤣

acutally, the fix-it for the broken phone is #repair. that will activate the nanobots in the phone to reconnect any wires and fuse the plastic back together.

To be honest with you, I am surprised verizon does not charge to do a *228, heck, that is such a fix all, cure all for all our phones, getting to do it for free is just to good of a bargain..

Here is a hint to new people, when you have a problem with your phone, do the *228 before you call in, or go into a store, as that is the first thing they will tell you to do, then call back if the problem still exists, which always does...*228 is verizons way to put a pacifier in your mouth for a few days...

to pound SOL: i love that username...i tell my co-workers that customers should dial #SOL b/c they declined insurance and want a free phone.

and i dont see other carriers offering a *228. it downloads the new/reconstructed towers into your phone so if u have signal/battery issues it does help. i agree, it's often overdone. but it's basic troubleshooting that we need to do before we bring them to techs to troubleshoot....and u what u dont realize is that we reset your feats and provisioning on your account and *228 resets/re-programs your phone so your not doing *228 for nothing. if we reset your feats and u dont wanna *228 then keep your problems.
