New VZ Phones

Well, after looking into all the new Bluetooth phones Verizon offers, I decided to give up and stay with my 'old' LG 6000. I wanted a LG 8100 to get the bluetooth headsets, but nothing Verizon offers is worth giving up plain old dial up internet connections when I am in airports and hotels. I get that on my LG 6000 just fine and it is legal and supported with their Mobile Office product. Now they offer all types of wiz bang options that I have no real need or use for, but they decied to kill off the only really important feature unless I want a compelete seperate account for about an additional $80 per month to use it 6 or 8 times a year when I need it for my laptop. Yes I know there are all sorts of hacks to get a new LG 8100 on the Interne...

The 9800 is SOOOO much better than the sidekick. But, I agree, VZW is missing the boat on allowing people to access the internet using their phones. Sprint allows it if one subscribes to their Power Vision. Cingular allows it on any media net plan (unlimited recommended if you are using it for DUN). T-Mo is the same as Cingular. VZW IS missing the boat on this one and driving power users away from their service.

I'm simply stating that, in my opinion, Verizon is going to lose alot of the power users because even Sprint is allowing it. And Sprint used to be the company that went along with Verizon as far as restrictions are concerned.

Yes, I'm saying Verizon is missing the boat when it comes to power users.

nothing against 'power' users, but 39.99/mo. America's Choice 450 users probably outnumber them 10 to 1, I don't think any boat is being missed here...

get a Nokia 6256i....you can tether that through BlueTooth and use it to dial-up because it doesn't have Ev-DO, but it does have almost every other feature you could possibly want. The only real drawback is a VGA camera, but that's what your 6000 has.
