Number Ports

I was just curious as to why the nations largest (currently) wireless provider, the great and powerful Verizon Wireless, didn't seem to quite with with the rest of the nation today in terms of Wireless Portability. I had three ports right away this morning ripping customers away from the mighty Verizon and not one seemed to go through....why is that you might ask - According to Verizon, only the top 100 markets were eligible to port and their auto response rejected all ports from outside of the area. Thankfully, this problem seemed to fix itself by approximately 2pm, but you'd think that such a large company would have been ready for such an important day in the wireless industry. How embarrassing 🤭

I highly doubt however that i...

WOW!!! 😳 That truly is odd considering that VzW, being THE larget carrier has had the lowest complaint rate for porting customers (about 8 per 1000,000) since November. Only Nextel came close wih about 9 per 100k. That is shocking. What did US Cellular do so far?

By the way, I've heard reports that US Cellular (my employer!!) only lost 6 customers total in the entire Wisconsin Market. It sure is nice to be the best in the state!!!

I did not know that they had cell phones in Wisconsin. Are they allowing dairy cows to use them or something? The FCC needs to put a stop to that immediately!!

Careful...I've known Wisconsinites to become cheese-wielding maniacs when their character is called into question.

The time frame for a port is 3- 24 hours so what if they were not completed by 2 pm. There is still plenty of time to have the ports completed. Why are you ripping VZW, you should be ripping the wireline companies that are trying to get extensions on the portability and take away the consumers freedom of choice. I think that the FCC should fine these companies for every day that they are no compliant with porting. They knew it was coming, yet they chose not to prepare for it, rather they chose to spend there money going to court. What a bunch of B.S.
