No doubt there's some dumb/mean customers bro, an I feel for ya, since I've had to deal with the general public too. But to say that nearly all o' your customers suck is a terrible attitude to take.

With a 'tude like that, you're jus' gonna make yo'self unhappy. An' probably your customers as well, since you'll be cranky as hell. ☚ī¸

When I was in a job that dealt with customers all the time, and I started thinking they were all idiots, I decided it was time to get a new job.

Maybe it is time for the original poster to get a new job, as the stresses of taking care of all of verizon's customers is just to hard to do anymore since they are all dumb. As you just proved that you are not able to represent your company in a professional matter anymore, you are burned out. Coming on a forum and making a post like that shows very little respect for your company that is paying you. Their customers come on here to get advice, read up on verizon, or whatever, and here is a rep of that company putting a post out like this, you just gave your company a black eye, and yes, that ...

Agreed. A few months back there were tons of threads like this and I felt the same thing. To come online in a PUBLIC forum and call the people paying your checks dumb?!?! Maybe you should join TO on the unemployed, disgruntled, need for stress relief list.

While I don't agree with calling most of the customers dumb (even though Lord knows some days it seems like it), I can somewhat understand the original post.

There is definitely a double standard. Customer's get upset when VZW employees post vent messages but they egg each other on when calling VZW employees idiots, etc. All of a sudden, everyone has a story or something similar has happened to them. Agents come on here talking about being ripped off by VZW Corporate. Everyone is giving themselves a black eye.

I think this would make for a much more productive environment if everyone just calms down and remember to come here seeking camaraderie and information.

There are so many sites set up for customer's to rant and nothing for t...

I think VZW employees should act professional and do their jobs well when taking calls (or store visits) from customers. At the same time, I think customers needs to realize they are calling (or visiting) a place of business and stop coming off as jack asses when they don't get their way. If both sides did this, hold/wait times would decrease drastically and the call flow would be much easier. This is just my opinion, though.

What a novel concept!!!! Well Said.

yes, but this is not the world, this is forum-land. where people can tear-into and belittle you from behind a monitor. people get even meaner on the computer, more so than on the phone. the nice thing about this though, i can laugh at peoples posts without them knowing.

Not really a dumb customer story, but if it'll help kill the post, I'll make one entry on this.

So this woman lives about half an hour plus from the nearst verizon store (mind you, this is Colorado..). This past saturday she brought in her samsung 670 (currently none available in the western area or via "direct FRUfill") as well as the one she recieved from warehouse. I did the phonebook swap, but the customer stated she was having charging problems with it. Upset already, this being here third trip (once to report problem, not resolved, again due to problem reccuring, direct frufilled to resolve), I troubleshot the fru and made the [initial] diagnosis that it was a charger problem [phone was showing charging on a store charger, no charge...

Hey, how about a dumb csr story instead...I call t o cancel my vcast service and the csr says "no problem it has been taken care of have a nice day". About an hour later I cannot send/receive text, pix, or get on mobile web. I then spend 45 minutes on the phone going through the chain of morons until I get to tier 2 who see the problem in about 30 seconds that the original csr took ALL DATA off my plan because she was a moron.
Or how about when I called up my local corporate verizon store to inquire about the 6256i and the genious on the other line tells me that it is not out for verizon yet and that I may have seen it with Cingular since they get most of the phones before verizon. I guess verizon uses GSM in her world.
I do not know wher...
