BOOO VERIZON TECH SUPPORT

Verizon needs to re-train all their tech support people on the treo 650. i have called in at least 10 times in the past month (4 times this week!!) b/c the text messaging isn't working.. almost everytime after about two hours they file a trouble ticket! a few hours later the text is back working and no one knows why..This is very frustrating for me especially because even after all these calls they refuse to send me a new phone! WTF! I am calling again today is request to speak with the manager/supervisor and seeing if he's willing to help me, if not, bye bye verizon

Text messages issues are usually a service issue and not a handset issue, so sending you a new handset would most likely not take care of the problem. I do agree that it shouldn't take 10 calls to w.d.t.s. to fix the problem

I have had similar issues with the 650 plus many others, I agree Tech support is hardly worth the call. The problem is actually 2 fold, If you call Palm for support they send you to verizon, If you call verizon for support, they don't know how to resolve the issues, There idea of a fix is a "hard reset" WOW what training they get!!! Why do I have to hard reset each time when the phone resets itself "whenever it wants too"

I love the coverage verizon offers, as I travel across the country, but I will end up going back to a "phone" and bail on the 650 it will make a better bookend!!! Palm needs to stick with making PDA'S and get out of the phone business. Shame on Verizon for not admitting they have major issues with the 650 rather than...

Well i understand that it SHOULD be a service issue.. but that doesn't make much sense to me when the previous two phones i had (that weren't pdas) had zero problems with text or anything else for that matter. But as soon as i got my treo it's been nothing but issues with the sms, mms, and it letting me know when i have a voicemail. I've had 3 trouble tickets filed with this phone, and i just had to call again this morning so i think i'm in the 11-12 range of times i've called. I like my phone, and i don't want to be forced into selling it and buying a phone that works. I highly doubt it's a service issue since i can be standing next to my fiance who has a diff. phone and is on my account and can text to whoever she wants. I don't see why i ...

There is a new software update available for the 650. You should try it and see if that helps. You can download it from the VZW website.

It didnt help me 🤭

I spoke with VZW cust service AND Tech support yesterday once again complaining about the same stuff, They told me that they have not had many issues with the treo 650 I asked them about the Lawsuit against filed against Palm in Calif and it seems that my issues are not limited to myself, they blew me off.

You need to take a more empathetic approach to your Treo issue. I have had a treo 650 since launch and have had zero issues. I have customers coming into my stores every day and every now and then get I a issue with the 650. Anyways, if you call tech support and have them transfer you to WDTS (data group) which I am pretty sure you haven't talked to yet, they have empowerment to send you another treo 650 at no cost. If you get a WDTS rep with no resolve, get a ticket number from the call center rep and take that to a local VZW direct store manager to have it escalated from the data rep in your market. As far as them not switching out your treo, just make sure you are polite and not using legal terms or threats... That will get you nowhere e...

Try updating the firmware if you think it may be the phone. The process is a little scary and make sure you have your power cord plugged in and plugged into the bottom of your data cable before you begin. I've performed the update twice with little or no problems. I do agree. I like the phone but there are issues with alerts and emails. Good luck.
