I am sure it will happen. It was supposed to have happened over a month ago. My thinking is that VZW had the MP3 crippled and realized they can't keep requiring these features to be disabled. So the back up is uncrippling all the phones...retesting...and then releasing.

Just my opinion though...I am not anywhere near an expert on this one...

Had a guy at Best Buy look it up in their database... allegedly they're getting it on 10/23.

Don't know about Radio Shack or Verizon corp stores. Said the price was listed as $249 retail, which would mean something like $149 with a contract or upgrade.

I heard the same thing about Best Buy. Possibly a little sooner. I don't know about the Verizon store. I do hope it very soon through. I want to use my NE2 and can't at Best Buy. I've been waiting!!!! I don't want to lose my $100.

Seems that the call out cards are already in the stores. I think end of October time frame is what I have been reading as well, don't know about in VZW stores vs. Radio Shack/Best Buy/etc.
