Reception Q

When first getting my phone my reception was good if not great everywhere I went. About a month later this ten mile stretch which takes up about half of my commute has turned into "Extended Area" and I cannot hold onto a call for more than 10 seconds. Any input on why this happened would be great thanks.

Reception is just a radio wave, that's all it is. Towers could have been adjusted, other networks could have adjusted their towers and your phone finds a stronger signal, any # of reasons. What you can do is call the call centre @ 800-922-0204. Give specific Info, i.e. your MTN, Where the problem occurs (major cross streets) How long has this problem occurred, When was the last time you updated your phone using *228 (do this prior to calling in if it's been a while when you're NOT on extended network), What extended network you are picking up, (found by checking your phones SID, or try calling 611 and see who answers.). With that info you can call in and request a trouble ticket created for that area.
