PRL update question
i'm new to verizon and don't know how the prl update works exactly. i decided to switch from the america choice plan, which i've just had for a week, to the local choice plan to get more minutes. the csr said i didn't need to do the *228 to get a new prl. is the prl the same for all plans? if not, is there any benefit to my not doing the update yet?
thx.
Do this once every three months -OR- whenever you change your calling plan, whichever event occurrs first.
There are different PRLS for each plan TYPE, i.e Single Rate West, America's Choice, Local Digital, North America's Choice, Single Rate National etc...

The phone knows by the PRL what to pick up first, based on who your carrier has roaming agreements, not where you would pick up the best signal... This can easily be manipulated in most phones with the Force Mode or Set Mode Auto features. (Please know what these do...
