Oh, quit your whining...the phones will be out when the phones will be out. You'll just have to "deal" with their fantastic service and coverage for now.

Arrogance, ignorance, whining as you call it will only LOOSE customers...
if you are with Verizon, who do you think pays your salary?
Don't forget... WE'RE THE CUSTOMER!

The Arrogance of VZW... I love it... How many companys have said "We are the Best... This is how we do business". And poof... They're gone.. Once you loose focus on the customer, business will decline.. It may take a few years, but my prediction is that VZW is on a dangerous path.. One that will cost them in the future...

I have heard as many horror stories about VZW that I have heard fo any other service provider

every provider is run by people...and all providers have people within their company that will not have an attitude that everyone likes...its called reality...

if you think that people are different from company to company...then you are only fooling yourself...

maybe you shouldn't set high expectations in people who are just trying to do there job...and in many casses...as much as there are alloud, in order to help you.

companies have policies that have to be followed so that they don't loose money giving everything to every customer who thinks that the world owes them everything.

I'd like to stamp this onto some people's heads.

I have waited for new phones that are in this generation from VZW, as well as numerous others on this site for to long. I've seen the A610 which is a year old 600, a 9950 for almost 6 months which is the 9900 not released yet, and so on. My contract is up soon, as well as my patience with VZW and this indescribable T720 that has been with me as well. To be locked into a carrier that dictates to you "use my old phones (T720) or take a hike" well its time to take that hike.

Your post is the biggest oxy moron ever. You want VZW to deliver phones faster, but you hate your Moto 720. Guess what the 720 was rushed to the shelves and their were lots of problems with it, as you are probably well aware. So it seems like VZW is doing the responsible thing and learning from their past mistakes and using higher test standards than the rest of the industry to avoid a lot of customer frustration. You cannot have everything. Do you want a phone that works well or one that is the latest model, but has lots of bugs?? I will wait a little longer and take the phone that works well. Just because a phone is listed on this site does not mean that a carrier is snatching it up and putting it through testing right away. And if...

Becasue 6 to 12 months later the phone you waited for is now obsolete.
Testing phones forever didn't seem to work out to well for the Kyocera 7135.

I never said the phones were bug free. It does make them have a lot less bugs. The main problem with the 7135 was that there were a bad batch of batteries manufactured, not the fault of VZW, we don't make the phones we sell them. There also a software upgrade for the phone to fix a some other problems and I have not heard of anyone who has a problem after the upgrade.

I hate to tell you this...but waiting 6 to 12 months for a phone doesn't make it obsolete. It just makes it late for a person like yourself that has to have the latest and greatest.

There's nothing wrong with wanting the koolest and newest phones and wanting them now. Really, there isn't. Other companies bank on that aspect to gain customers, and there's nothing wrong with that either. But there are always checks and balances when it comes to such things.
There is always a price for impatience, at least in some form.

Okay, Biggs...if you ever make this much sense again, I'm afraid we'll have to kick you from this forum.

Nobody "dictated" you into buying a t720...you made that decision. So go with another carrier if you want a spiffy phone with crappy coverage and service.

I understand you are having trouble making sense of this. I have a suggestion, try looking at the bigger picture here. I will concede that Verizon has the best coverage, happy now? Okay, that being said, best by how much? And what about the other key area, products? So if Verizon is say, a 90 out of 100 in coverage but, a 50 out of 100 in product releases and we compare them with other hungrier carriers that rate about a 75-80 coverage-wise and 70-80 out of 100 product-wise, you know have what is called the "Big Pic...

I guess it all depends on what your priorities are concerning cell phones. My personal top priorities are the call quality, dependability and coverage area. Most important to me is feeling confident that, wherever I go, I can call people and they can call me, and that we can get a good, clear connection. I know it will never be 100% with any carrier. At one time, I had 2 phones with 2 different carriers (Sprint and AT&T) in the hopes that at least one of them would work in a specific location. That got to be too cumbersome, and I had so many billing and customer service issues, and lots of times where neither of them worked well.

I have left other carriers, such as Sprint, which, at the time, had a much better selection of "cool" phone...

Don't forget... WE'RE THE CUSTOMER!

Also remember that caps means yelling...and we don't like yelling. And it's lose...not "loose". The fact that Verizon has nearly 40 million subscribers has to do with their reliability, not their phones. Only people like us who dig phones so much want the latest and greatest. I just happen to be one of those few who don't ...
