In late May, im goin on vacation to the Dominican Republic. I have my own account and so does my sister. Is there a possible way she can upgrade the phone for me? I have asked 2 verizon stores. One tells me that with the Full Access thing that she can. But another tells me even with the Full Access thing, she cant. asked 2 salesman from the Verizon Store that had said yes. So is one store retarded?Does anybody have a definite answer?? I need to know. Please tell me thanks.

Full access is not quite "full" access, generally she can do anything up to signing a new contract for you, which taking advantage of a phone upgrade discount would require.

So technically your answer is NO, unfortunetly she can not upgrade for you unless the phone is at full retail price and doesn't change your contract.

Yes, this is true---although those somewhat shady sales reps may do it anyway if it's a qualifying upgrade. Also, your sister CAN pay full retail for the phone, and change the ESN with full access---if upgradng while you're away is really that important, You may want to just wait until you get back anyway.

Being New Every two eligible and having your contract expire w/in 2 months is two different things. Qualifying means your contract is within 2 months of expiration, New Every Two means your phone is at least 22 months old. Sales reps will do ANYTHING to get a "Q Up"----If you have access to a fax machine in the Dominican they could do the whole thing via FAX for you, that may resolve what you are trying to do----Also, Telesales would be able to do the whole thing over the phone for you and ship the phone wherever you want it sent. Same with online ordering.
