Hey for all of you that work in a call center...I was reading in the lounge and someone had a good idea. You know how you get points for being late and stuff like that? Well yall should organize a drive where if you bring in a case of water or food then you get 1 point back up to 5 points and everything is sent to NO. Please relay this on to your supervisors. I feel really strongly about this...These are AMERICANS DYING!

I have donated to the victims of katrina and care about all those in pain. Do you know that those who followed directions for the most part are safe and sound. Do you know which Americans are still suffering? It's the dumb f**ks shooting at rescue workers. My prayers go out for all,

Maybe you guys should take a look in the lounge and see some other opinions. Those people are in survival mode. Youd be pissed too if you were living in feces and next to rotting dead bodies and you see help coming and they drive right past you. I dont think anyone should judge these people and say what theyre doing is right or wrong. Theyre in survival mode right now where things that we think are wrong or stupid are means of survival for them.

Gunny,

Nice bit of common sense there. Thank God there are still those who have the ability to apply logic to situations such as this. Keep the faith and Semper Fi.

How about we pay them to rebuild the city ABOVE SEA LEVEL!! Stupid ass French.

I want to punch everyone in the face that says, "I never expected this to happen here." YOUR CITY IS 10 FEET BELOW THE SEA!! YOU LIVE IN AN AREA PRONE TO HURRICANES! Deal with it or move.

This isn't to say I don't feel bad for the people there, it's just the claim that "it's so unexpected" that gets me. If you lived in South Dakota and a hurricane got to your house and destroyed it, you'd have a right to be surprised, but not if you live in the south east.

I am not disputing anything that has been said here...just please keep in mind that the people that stayed are for the most part people who couldnt leave...they are poor and dont have the means to "just up and leave" I completely agree with a lot of what yall said...but some of these people didnt have a choice.

Hello, brainiac much? The city is almost three hundred years old in spots, and at the time it was originally built it WAS above sea level. See, there'...
