LG (all phones with vx)

vx 3200 (within weeks) (NO ONE CARES)

vx 4600 (any day now)
The new to release (*eventually*) LG VX 4600 replaces the VX 4400
4400 vs 4600
20% less weight
slightly smaller
slightly longer battery life (20% longer)
500 contacts vs. 200 in the 4400
picture messaging, as opposed to an email client support of the 4400
*Analog is only available on some phones whereas the 4400 were all tri mode

4400 vs 4500
the 4500 is available (this is key )
4500 is not available in analog. dual mode only
the 4500 has a speakerphone

that's basically all i have for you in differences between the two. and they look different. not sure why this phone (the 4600) is being released besides that it looks a little burlier....

Actually, the vx4600 holds 4,000 phonebook entries 🙂 More entries than any other phone.

Actually you are both right. The 4600 holds 500 different contacts with 8 possible entries for each contact. For a total of 4000 different numbers/e-mail addresses.

Who the hell knows 4000 people to put in a phonebook

You wrote Moto V710 before Xmas season. ANy idea when? Ive been waiting for that phone forever

As I asked before. Anyone know how long you can hang onto the "every two 100dollar" upgrade phone offer? Mine starts at the end of this month but I want to hold out for the Moto V710. I don't want to lose this offer because I'm sure the V710 will be very pricey

I believe you can only hold on to your ne2 for either 60 or 90 days.

Unless other regions have different policies than we do in Philly. The NE2 stays on your acct. until you upgrade your phone. IOW as long as you do not upgrade your phone between the time you become elig. for the NE2 and the time the Moto V710 comes out, you will be allowed to use it at the time you upgrade. Now it will require that you sign a new two year contract of course.

Is it hard working having that many friends? I would imagine it would be.

Can I be number 3,964? That would make you like my third friend. 😉

Actually I was referring to the fact that I only have 37 contacts in my phone and hell, not all of them are my friends. SO...that would leave 3,963 contacts left. But I'm sure you got that...being intelligent and all.

Oh, I dunno...I care about the release of the 3200. The vx3100 was an awesome little seller down here at CC. A cheap, affordable phone that everyone loved because of its size and dependability.

I talked to 4 different people at customer service today and they all had different replys on the VX 4600. I wanted this phone and the final word was it's internet only and only for NEW!! customers. This really pisses me off!!!

That is true, its only on the internet. VZW is trying to move toward more of an internet friendly solution rather than calling customer care. But the phone is not only for new customers, you can upgrade to that phone as well. Bottom line is though, only through the wesite.

I hope you right on the 4600. I went through about 6 people before they let me talk to a supervisor who said it was just for NEW CUSTOMERS, however as I have been a customer for 15 years he would let me know by 3PM if he could get me one.

I hope so too because there are customers like yourself that we want to keep happy. I'm sure that something can be done one way or the other to get that phone in your hands.

As far as I know, the 4600 is an online exclusive. If you register for "My account", you should be given the opportunity to upgrade to that phone there. The folx in customer care won't have access to that phone.

Actually, I checked on upgrading and for some reason there are only a few phones that the website gives me as options. It's a weird assortment, ranging from the Nokia 3589i to the Kyocera Smartphone, but none of the LG phones or any of the newer nicest phones are offered. Any idea why this is? It just started happening, because I had been checking the upgrade options for the last several weeks.
