Ahh indirect thinking they are corp stores!

I just needed to post a gripe of mine. There is a small indirect store in my area that has a history of screwing customers over or not giving proper customer service(most of the employees really have no idea what they are doing, and the owner will do anything to makecash). So anyway instead of having the sign that says the name of there store (xxxxx xxxxxxx wirless) they just have a huge verizon wireless sign. So in my store, all I get is I went to the verizon store on xxx rd and they told me this. Or I get huge complaints about how bad the Verizon Store is on xxx st. I wish they would put up a normal business sign instead of a huge verizon sign so I stop getting so many complaints!

There are actually regulations on what kind of sinage we can have, in my market it use to be 50% VZW 50% Our company name, than a few years back it switched to 65% our name and 35% VZW, you might want to look into it and speak to their rep

Out in my market, Upstate NY, our agents signs all read Verizon Wireless in huge letters and in a regular hard to read font it says an authorized retailer... don't know if regulations are different everywhere, but I can see how it would be easy to miss the authorized retailer part... not that matters, we are all working for the same man, and more so, there is a rep for the agents who you should forward complaints to, that way IF, and i stress IF so I don't offend what seems to be two really good agents here, they are truly doing something wrong it can be corrected

I think I made my statement a little harsh. I have no problem with indirect dealers, and I used to work for one. i know that alot of indirects are good people. I was just stating a problem with a local indirect who has no signage from their store at all just huge verizon signs. The only place their store name is listed is on the business card. And what set me off about this one store was one customer who had a bad expirience at the said store and came into my store and started screaming about how the "verizon corporate" store that he went to was mean to him and told about 25 customers that were in the store where I work that verizon has horrible customer service. He was so irrate we had to call the cops, but he left before they came The pr...

Let me start by saying, as an indirect I take no offense to what you said. I understand your gripe however here are a few things to ponder:

1. However silly this may sound, VZW requires all of it's indirects to be incorporated. Hence the "Corporate store" mentality. Regardless of whether or not it is VZW Corp or Joe Schmoe Inc.

2. I have worked in both Corp and indirect stores and truth be told... Most of the time it's the indirects who take the time to learn the products and services as opposed to directs who spend most of the time learning more about the policy. No offense to anyone!

3. I too have suffered the whole "Oh that phone was purchased by an indirect and not from a direct so it is their responsibility to replace it!" I ha...

In responce to your first topic. Verizon Wireless does not require all indirect locations to be incorporated. I'm an Indirect Agent and my business is a Sole Proprietor.

Also regarding the signage. I had the same gripe about another agent store in my area. They are quite large with several locations and I didn't think it was right that they could have signs on their building that just say Verizon Wireless when I can't. I was told that they are Grandfathered in since they were under old contracts and before the regulations came in to affect or something like that. Ugh
