WHICH PHONE HAS THE CLEAREST SOUND
Here is my question:Which phone gives the clearest sound ? I purchased two V 815s and also got a V 65 Motorola. I love the features of the V 815 but the sound Quality I am not sure of. I do not know if the average sound clarity is due to the Network or the phone!
I was with T-Mobile before and had Nokia phones. It seem that the clarity on calls was much better.
I like Verizon's new every two and the $5.00 In message thing. Also T-Mobile did not treat you as well if you wanted to upgrade you equipment. I'm staying with Verizon ,but I am disappointed with the sound clarity when makin...

I have 2 LG phones---an LG7000, and LG6100. Both have good volume, and very clear calls; usually, the people I call can't even tell that I'm on a cell phone. If you haven't already done so, go to a Verizon store and test out some of the various phones in the store to see if they are any better. Could be you got an E815 that has problems; you should be getting near land-line quality. This is a phone that just came out, and there's bound to be problems ...

Well, the best voice quality I've ever experienced was while using a Motorola v600 on Tmobile's network. Heh. 😁 Don't kill me.

Okay, that was dirty.
I have used a number of motorola phones in the past including a V60, and a large brick phone, all better sound than my V710. I demo'd several other Verizon phones and think that the newer technology is inferior in terms of sound quality. Frankly, I think that analog sound quality was better than digital. If anyone has specific info, i'd love to read about it. btw, i like motorola's itap.

I have been interested in this subject for some time. I switched from an old Nokia TDMA phone/service from EDGE/ATT to Motorola V710/Verizon. I feel that my prior phone signal and sound were much better.

For some reason, CDMA (Sprint and Verizon) phones have a have an odd habit of breaking up...where you ...

I think its more a phone thing than a technology thing. The 'I hear every other word' syndrome is something I hear a lot of people complaining about with Motos in general.
But I've never used a Motorola CDMA phone besides the t72x series, and the best voice quality I've ever experienced was on a Moto v600 with Tmobile.
For Verizon, and CDMA in general, I just think Moto is a lost cause. Better to go with Samsung or one of the upcoming Nokias, if sound quality is important to you.

It may be that Moto makes better-sounding GSM phones than it does CDMA ones, but that doesnt mean that GSM inherently sounds better than CDMA. It just means that Moto makes better-sounding GSM phones. I've certainly known a number of ATT TDMA and cingular GSM customers who werent particularly happy with their sound quality.

I haven't used enough GSM phones to decide if GSM inherently sounds better...but I have noticed Samsung, Sanyo, and Nokia CDMA handsets break up in strange ways.

That hasnt been my experience. While any phone can break up under the right circumstances, I have never known it to be a standout recurring problem with any of the makers listed above.

I've only noticed this type of voice quality issues on CDMA phones. I believe it may have something to do with the compression.
