Why do Verizon phones suck so much?
I thought about the XV6400. It's so much larger than the blackberry, and I don't like having to slide it open to use it.

I live in Washington, So I need to have a Verizon phone if I want service in the subway, but their phones suck. I have my blackberry nextel and then my verizon cell. I wish I could just have a verizon blackberry, but they only have ****ty versions of the blackberry and they charge a lot more for their blackberry's compared to other carriers (nextel/cingular/t-mobile). Anyone know if verizon will be getting the 7100 series of blackberry's?

So...verizon phones make calls and all that but since they don't have the phone YOU want they all suck? come on man...don'...

They do suck. Listen, what are so great about them? I like the XV, but the thing is huge. It just seems to me like all of the other carriers are getting the newest and best phones, while verizon users are stuck with either a crappy camera phone or a smart phone the size of a shoe.

So you don't want a big phone yet you have a blackberry.....are u kidding? If you want a blackberry kind of phone all of them are going to be about the same size. Saying ALL of the phones suck is just stupid. When the LG6100 is an amazing phone and people love it for the reception and quality. Just because you don't want it..doesn't mean it sucks...

I would love any suggestions you might have. I love the blackberry features (including it's keyboard) and I hate the size of the XV 6400. Any idea if something similar to the blackberry 7100 series will be coming out or is already out on Verizon?
Like I said, love the service verizon offers, but the phones just aren't cutting it for me (or my business).

I am sorry if my terms were harsh for you pimp, but the phones are sub-par when compared to other carriers. Yes, I have a nextel blackberry, and it's the same size as all of the current options with the same features on verizon.

I have seen on here some people converting phones from one provider to another, is it possible to do this with the 7100 blackberry? anyone know?

I checked that phone out, and thought pretty seriously about it. The keyboard is terrible. I tried messing around with it a little bit at the store, and I just didn't feel like I could get used to not having a full keyboard.

I seriously doubt it. Verizon has a strict phone list that contains phones that can be activated on the network. If they aren't on the list...they aren't allowed. Unless a special arrangement is made by a Verizon supervisor at Customer tech support. Verizon has to test the phones rigorously to approve them...that ...

1. 😲 599.99! (w/a 2 year contract) unless that thing is printing money, that seems a little extreme.
2. Again, the size, the blackberry is large, but it incorporates the keyboard on the front, with the samsung you have to slide it open to use it and it increases the size of the phone dramatically.
This prompts another question, how can services like cingular and nextel charge 24.99 and 50.00 respectively for their blackberry's and then verizon charge this amount?
Like I said, I love the verizon service, I just have a lot of issues with their phones.
