My wifes VX 6000 is up for NE2 discount on 8/10.
She is not very good about charging the phone in house and usually lets it hooked up to a in car charger. Last month, our son accidentally pulled the car charger out and didnot push the side buttons to release it and the charging port came out also. Now if I don`t bring the phone in , it doesn`t get charged. Do we have any early options to get a new phone?

I was told that you can upgrade 2 months early, looks like you are there, so you should be able to goto the store and do it today if you want to. The Lg 8000 is a nice phone and it is free with NE2 right now.

you can do an upgrade early. a lot of the times they won't give you the NE2 early though.

i'm not saying it's never happened, but i wouldn't "expect" an early NE2.

if you go to an agent you get can the NE2 for the 2 year sign up date. if you go to corporate they will only give you $30 off the retail price.

You're wrong. A new equip repl policy went into effect on July 1st. Depending on your price plan and length of contract remaining, you can get anywhere between 25% off full retail, on up to an early NE2. $30 off is outdated. If you were told that after July 1st, it was by someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. If it was before July 1st, well, sorry. Wait, no I'm not. I don't care.

I know in the west area if they do it any sooner than the two months before the contract is up then you forfeit you NE2 discount. It sounded like the date he was giving was the two months before his actual end date in October. I have seen it happen here but usually nine times out of ten if they even do it early they take away your NE2.

I'd go in a Verizon corp. store and ask. If you are a good customer, they might give it to you a few weeks early. They have a bit of lee way I'm sure for a good paying customer like you.

It's a kiosk though. Kiosks are manned by high schoolers. An actual retail store though has people that are there for a real job and therefor are more likely to know what's going on.

Early upgrades can be done in direct VZW stores and over the phone. That's it.

I won't dispute you on the intelligence or capabilities of any store rep, but early upgrades CAN be given at Circuit City.
