I've been looking at this new moto with EVDO and I'm wondering if Verizon limited its Bluetooth like it does with a lot of other phone's features. I'm interested in possibly using the e815's bluetooth to get web on my zire. Is that possible?? Do I need some sort of hack?? And is there a way around paying the $80 for unlimited internet and just used the $15 web package?? Thoughts and comments please...

Look in the e815 forum. I don't have either piece of equipment you mentioned, but I have seen some posts there about making DUN available on the 815. I'm sure you can find it within the past two days posts.

I have e815 and Palm 72. Motorola says no to using the 815 to get the internet with Palm. You can get the web of course through your phone`s web browser. Last year I talked to a tech guy at Moto who showed me how to set up my 710 when everyone said it wasn`t possible. I`m hoping someone can figure out how to get my Palm and 815 to communicate.

The V710 actually allowed DUN through Bluetooth. The E815 doesn't. Sorry.

Wouldn`t Verizon reap " more minutes used " cash by allowing another device to get to the web? Verizon also has little in the way of information when you ask other than the basic questions. Although, when they explain why they are slow to bring cutting edge phones to the market, it`s because they test so, so, much that it takes a long time to make sure the equipment is right. Duh...problems with 710, feature issues with 8100 ( MP3, earpiece problems, controls on the front for...? )
The 815`s web browser is faster so it`s ok to use, but Verizon can frustrate.
