I read earlier today, on another site that a 7PM nights option is coming for VZW near the end of this month. Does anyone know anything about it, and would you like to share with the group?

I hope so, I would love that. Did you read anything about if it would cost or not.

Now, this is an option that I would increase my contract for.

I will be crossing my fingers... 🙂

I have to think they are coming out soon. From what I read on another site is that Sprint was waiting on verizon to launch 7pm N&W and then they would launch 5pm N&W. Well the 5pm N&W has rolled out in select markets so I guess that means anytime soon verizon will offer the 7pm

what's the story hear, just a rumor or what. I would hope not, verizon is about the only company that does not offer 7 PM night and weekends. Come on verizon, get off the side bench and start playing the game again, your falling behind... 😕

you see, it's attitudes like that, that will put companies such as verizon behind. Never take verizon's size as granted, it can change fast, just because you are on a ride up hill right now, does not mean you cant start going down again. Almost all companies are offering 7 pm night and weekends and verizon does not, that gives people a reason to go elsewhere.

And yes, some of these companies are smaller then verizon and need to offer something to get people, but, why give a person a reason to go somewhere else? If you get down to it, most people, probably a very high percentage do not need national coverage, but, people sign up for those plans because they are scared of the roam word, but, if most would wake up, the local plans and r...

Its not that simple, though. The flip side of offering 7pm nights is that the network will be more congested during that time. One of the things I really like about Verizon is that I NEVER get a 'network too busy' message like some ATTW-using friends I know. Nor do I suffer static or dropped calls.

If they do eventually offer 7pm nights, I hope its at a high enough additional price that not everybody gets it. I myself have no use for it, as I come nowhere near using up all my peak minutes (though I use a good amt of minutes in general).

the rumor is that the charge is going to be $10 a month extra, and it is suppose to be at the end of the month. So we will see what happens.

if it were going to happen by the end of the month, at least one person on one of these forums would have heard something concrete.

it's not happening in the near future.

that is what I figure, but, I still hold on to hope. They have till december to get it done, that is when my contract is up and that will be the time I move on to another carrier.
