Ugh

I can't decide if waiting 4 months for the possibility of a new iPhone is worth it. It's impossible to predict Apple and I've given myself quite a headache reading everyones theories. $650 is a lot of money for something that could be obsolete so soon, but the Droid Incredible just isn't cutting it.

#frustrated 😡

I have a Droid Incredible. I love it. Admittedly, I do not need it to do much. What do you want yours to do that it fails at?

I came from a 3GS; I use the Music player a lot in my car and the Incredible doesn't seem to amplify the sound enough. The bass isn't as deep and the volume is lower. Also, the shuffle feature will repeat songs before playing the entire library or playlist. The DINC has terrible call quality. It is my first Verizon phone so i'm not sure if it is the phone itself, but it's my best guess. I don't like the way Android does texting. Lastly, I can't get used to the browser. Safari just seemed to work better.

Having said that, I liked the DINC at first. It can do a lot of things, just none of them very well it seems. I really do like the Sense UI and thats the only reason I'm thinking about just keeping the DINC and saving money. I've gotten us...

Are you using the stock music player? I haven't used that in a long time. There are better options out there (and Google knows this).

The same is true with texting. I replaced "Messaging" with Handcent, which looks and feels like the iPhone interface. There are other browsers, too, though I personally like the stock one just fine.

The nice thing about Android is, if you don't like many of the built-in functions or apps, you can replace them with other functions or apps.

I'm ten months on my Droid Incredible, and I've loved it the entire time. I could have gotten a DroidX since having the DINC, but I elected not to (liking the phone so much). I will likely replace it with a Droid Thunderbolt in the near future, unless Verizon i...

Great suggestion with Handcent. I like it much better. Does it still have the same issues as the messaging app? As in, will it freeze when a thread gets long and take forever and a day to delete?

I've never noticed a long delay when deleting a thread. It's much smoother than the stock app.

So far most reviews I've seen from people that went from Android to iPhone are disappointed.

I went from iPhone to Android and its like going back to Windows Vista to me. Buggy, and the apps aren't designed as well.

What apps?

Do you have a task killer installed? if you answered yes, that's your issue.

I don't have a task killer. I think I read somewhere like Froyo doesn't need one?

I say go for it! Now that I know your background I know that you will never be satisfied with anything but the iphone4. It's only money. (Yours not mine).

All the problems you said you are having are pretty easily fixed by a couple of minutes on the app store. Hey, it's your money though and some people have the apple fever.
