If Verizon releases a phone in January rather than November then this would be confirmation that the tail does indeed wag the dog.

No need to rush this release and my guess is that they will announce the verizon iphone in Jan or Feb, possibly with the new iPad.

Apple and Verizon are two very successful companies. I trust that they know what they are doing.

And quite frankly the iphone wont need "holiday" sales to fly off the shelves. They will sell a million in the first 2 weeks regardless of when it comes out.

JUST GET IT RIGHT VERIZON/APPLE!!!

That's certainly true. Apple will sell whenever the phone is released. I do not think one needs to worry about another Storm in this case.

I agree. It is going to be a headache. Then imagine all the "I've been a loyal customer for xyz years and Verizon screwed me to upgrade now when they clearly knew I wanted an iphone. I want to return my phones and get the new iphone. Waive the restocking fee, after all, I am going to be spending more money with you every month so see, Verizon is winning.

Sigh.....lol

Mky question is...Wouldnt they be better off waiting for LTE to come out so it can take advantage of data/voice simultaneously? I do understand that Verizon is in the process of upgrading their current CDMA network to allow data/voice..But I would think that Verizon would want to wait til the LTE is fully launched before bringing out this phone...? In my opinion I am going to be happy with my Droid device any day of the week....Just sayin. I would like to see it happen so people would just shut up about it.

It wont really put a big dent in sales. And LTE is waaaay to far off for the masses. LTE wont be true major player till late 2011 when more markets are announced and go online.

Verizon will sell millions of units even without LTE and simultaneous voice/data. They just need to get the phone out asap!

But doesn't that defeat the purpose of the iPhone? I mean people want to have it for the sole purpose of voice/data simultaneously...Well at least that's what I thought

huh??? Really???

People want the iphone because it has 300000 apps and the phone itself is very easy to use. Plus it syncs flawlessly with apple services and products. Also, the multimedia functions are also very good.

Voice and data at the same time is just a bonus IMO.
