whats the best verizon phone out there right now??
about to upgrade and shoppig around lookind at the x, the new galaxy s, or droin inc...any word on any new phones???

Just know that there are ALWAYS new phones coming out, so waiting on the next best thing means you're always waiting.
For camera/video the fascinate is excellent, for Web surfing/media playback the X gets an edge because of the bigger screen and it's screen tech doesn't die if you try looking at web pages with white backgrounds.
The HTC Merge is like an incredible with a keyboard, and it's global. No idea when it will be announced, what the cost will be, etc
The Droid Pro is a blackberry form factor with android 2.2. Also global. out sometime this year, no idea when.
ENV Pro-Global. have 2 screens. thats about all we know

No idea. Most people thought it would be really soon, and then images of the Merge surfaced.
Something evo sized with a keyboard.. you almost expect that to be an LTE device. Maybe to compliment an all touchscreen Moto "T2".
I really hope at least one of them is stock Gingerbread. I love Cyanogen Mod for all the extra perks, but stock is a lot easier for me to use than any of the current skins

"Gingerbread" "Cyanogen Mod"? Whoa! You are speaking way above my head, Menno. Man! Damn, why can't Verizon just be reasonable and either let Saygus sell the Vphone or give us more Android phones which are compatible with VZ Access Manager?

Gingerbread is the next version of Android (after Froyo) so either 2.5 or 3.0. supposedly a massive UI overhaul.
Cyanogen Mod is a customized version of Froyo. Think what they have on the nexus one with a ton of cool perks like:

-Continous focus (If you focus on a person, the camera will track them no matter how close or far apart they go)
-Sound profiles (auto silence your phone depending on time)

I think we will see the Droid Pro by Thanksgiving. There will be the low end moto droid released soon as well. A possible LG PDA coming soon as well, by the end of the year another possible 10 phones. It will be interesting.......

Interesting that you think the Sprint Galaxy S is so great but the Verizon Galaxy S didn't make your list...
IMO, the Droid X and the Fascinate are the best to be had unless you want a physical keyboard. If you will do a lot of web browsing or care about an HDMI port, the Droid X is clearly superior to the Fascinate.
I still like my Fascinate, though. It works for me.

Are you being sarcastic? Obviously, the point of his post was to talk up the fact that Sprint has the best Android phones (not that I disagree) and the listing of the Verizon Droids is an afterthought.
