When I first got my X I didn't like the size at all. I felt like I had made a mistake. I liked the phone and all it could do, but I wasn't lovin' the size. I seriously considered returning it a few times. But after having the phone for a week or two I started to get used to the size. Now that I've had it for a month and a half, I wouldn't trade it for anything. The more you use it, the more you start to appreciate the size and that big beautiful screen. When I see a smaller screen now I'm like "poor little thing" lol.

As for trading it in for a D2...I personally think that would be a big mistake. The difference in height and width is nominal. You'd hardly be gaining any advantage in that area. BUT..you would now have a thicker, hea...

My bad..when I read your post I thought you were thinking about trading it for a D2. Yeah, the Incredible is a sweet phone. The biggest drawback would be the pathetic battery life. I mean like never get too far from a charger because you're gonna need it by 2 in the afternoon with average usage. Other than that the Incredible is a really nice device.

$60 for an extended battery solves the power supply problem (65% more charge), but that AMOLED screen is something you should think real hard about before swapping out for the HTC.

Outdoor visibility really, really suffers on the Incredible- too much for me to consider spending $200 on one.

I have both- got the Incredible when it came out, and am on the third one due to bugs. The X is a really great phone, but big.
The difference I've found is the Inc battery drain is awful- just sitting on the desk and no calls, nothing, it drains the battery 25% in four hours. That's the 1750mAh battery, by the way. The X has the same apps on it and lasts all day with calls, emails, etc.

The X has much better audio, and can get calls in places the Inc doesn't even get a signal. The first Inc I had would drop calls in my office- where I have a network extender!
I do like the HTC UI much better than Motorola's.

I've heard the same battery drain problems about the HTC Evo!
It seems the Sense UI has that effect on batteries.

As a few of us have already pointed out, the biggest problem with the Incredible is the super-short battery life. Yes, you can spend an additional $60 or so and get an extended battery. But that adds cost and bulk. Most of the extended batteries I have seen are thicker and have to come with a new back cover for the phone. I personally wouldn't want that, but it's your choice.

The other thing that was mentioned is the AMOLED screen on the Incredible. They look awesome inside or in the dark, but fade to being almost unreadable in bright sunlight. I don't know about you, but I like being outside on nice days. The screen on my X is very readable in bright light.

The HTC Incredible is a nice phone...no doubt. But those two shortc...

The droid INC speakerphone is basically unusable as well. I would stay away from this phone personally. Its a fun phone, but the battery life, bad signal, and horrible speaker phone were deal breakers.

Kind of a shame cause I really wanted to like this phone. Much happier with the droid x. Size is massive tho, haha.

got it thanks! ..kinda weird it would do that. For me the best thing about the phone is the size makes the keypad very easy to type on, and the web experience pretty darn usable! I'm playing this game called ThrottleCopter a simple little game that I just can't quit playing. The only thing I think I would really like in the future is a better screen, when I look at the wifes incredible, I get envious.

I gotta be honest, I actually prefer the droid x screen. Not sure why, but I put em side by side I liked the x a little better. I really wanna check out that samsung super amoled on the fascinate, that should be pretty sharp

yeah I like the keyboard, the 4.3 inch screen def makes a huge diff!

I won't go on about the battery issue. I charge it at night, every night, and would probably be doing that on the DroidX, too. Only occasionally have I run out of battery mid-day, and when it happens I charge my phone. No big deal.

As for other issues addressed, I've never had a signal issue on it. I spent part of the summer in the Rockies and had signal in every remote place I would expect it to work (having lived there before, I knew where my Moto 710/815 used to work). I've never dropped a call, either.

The screen - the other day I was outside trying to fix a hot tub. I had a PDF opened up with the specs for the control unit, trying to find a problem. I had full-color images of the control unit, as well as black text on a whi...

I went from blackberry to the Eris to test the Android waters. I was tempted by the incredible because I love sense. When I saw the droid x, I knew I had to have it. I got to use the Droid 2 prior to release and it benchmarked slower than the Droid X in quadrant. I tested a colleagues incredible the other day on froyo and it doubled the benchmark to over 1,000. It doubled the speed.

Droid X ti processor is better than the snapdragon processor in the Incredible despite the fact they are both based on the ARM cortex. There are definitely differences between the two so both clocked at 1 ghz does not necessarily translate into more efficient.

I do like the Incredible alot. If they did not announce the Droid X, I would have gone the Incredi...

I KNOW IT ISN'T OUT YET, BUT WITH HIGHER END SAMSUNG PHONES HOW IS THE SIGNAL STRENGTH?

I KNOW IT SEEMS PETTY BUT I HELD THE SPRINT VERSION AND WAS IMMEDIATLY IN LOVE WITH THE SIZE. I UNDERSTAND THERE IS MINIMAL DIFFERENCE, BUT IT FEELS BETTER...

IVE NEVER OWNED A SAMSUNG ON VERIZON, I HAD A SAMSUNG BLACKJACK (AMAZING!!!!) ON AT&T..... BUT I DO LIVE IN CRAPPY SIGNAL AREA BECAUSE OF ALL THE BRICK BUILDINGS IN MY 30 BUILDING APARTMENT COMPLEX...IT SEEMS TO ABSORB THE SIGNAL....

Yeah, it's kinda hard to keep track of all the variants of the Galaxy S family of phones.

Capitivate is ATTs
Vibrant is Tmo's
Fascinate is Vzn's
And Epic is Sprints (if I weren't under contract w/Vzn, I'd get an Epic!!!).
