Samsung Fascinate release date

Does anyone have any insider info on the release of the Fascinate?

I wish I did... The best I can tell you and have read is early fall. So hopefully next month. I have read people speculating that it was pushed back so it wasn't released the same time as the Droid x and Droid 2. I guess that makes sense.

I never understand that reasoning! Why would Verizon care whether they sell more Droid X's than Samsung Fascinate. All that should matter to Verizon is they have more people locked into 2yr contracts. Besides whether you have the Droid X, Droid 2, or Samsung Fascinate your monthly bill is still the same, so it's not like Verizon is making more $ off of people who own Droid X's than they are off of people who owen the Samsung Fascinated.

I was assuming Samsung had something to do with that decision... Or maybe Verizon splits them up to always have something new and hot...once something gets boring, launch the new product... Who knows, it is annoying because we all know that phone is ready to go now!

I'm with you....just launch and let the consumer decide

They do it because of hype and marketing. If they released 3 "Big new phones" all at the same time, there would be one big push and then....*crickets. By spacing out their releases they can have something to be excited about for a longer period. The differen...
