Yes I still rock the Voyager and its on its last legs, The phone is close to dying and I was wondering if I called Verizon and put a claim in for a lost phone would they replace it with the ENV3? I want the Droid X but being out of work I cant afford the full upgrade price minus the NE2 however much that is.

Thanks

Just got a new LG touch for my wife today. we went to verizon store last week and asked for them to check out her voyager because she was dropping calls and it would not send a text message any longer. we were out of warranty, and not eligible for NE2. the guy took the phone and checked the computer and said there is a program available for Voyager and Dare owners with similar circumstances to ours where LG will provide you with a new Touch for free. We got ours today. So far so good. you could give it a try!!! If you need a voyager, i have another one i will sell??

P.S. they waved the 9.99 data package requirement as well!!!!

Sorry you're out of work, but instead of being dishonest and claiming you "lost" your phone, why don't you just use your NE2 credit and do a new contract? You will have several choices that will end up being free or very cheap, and you won't have to lie.

This is true...How much are the NE2 these days? The last time I upgraded it was $100 off now I hear that they lowered it to $50. I got a coupon in the mail that is asking me to upgrade....Maybe they'll give me an additional $50 off.....

I'm not sure how much it is either. I assumed it was still $100 but I could be wrong. I'm sure plenty of other folks on here will be able to tell you.

It depends on two things: your price plan, and how long it's been since your last contract renewal.

Given the phone you have, you probably have a $100 NE2, unless you're on a line less than $79.99 a month then you may be a $50 NE2.

I thought you looked all that stuff up in February in anticipation of your March upgrade! 😉

Hmmmmm....should I put on devil horns or a halo? Why not both? Okay...you can either call in and throw yourself on the mercy of the rep (after all...the other guy's phone was out of warranty) OR you could call in and make the insurance claim. You don't HAVE to lie. You could back up your contacts with backup assistant and simply drop the phone in the kitchen sink. Call Assurion...then make the claim.

Yeah but then the issue would be, would I get another Voyager which is what someone said I'd get it replaced with or just suck it up and get the new phone....Screw it, The droid x is coming out and I want that phone and I'm gonna get it

If you call in and claim lost (assuming you have insurance). They'll replace it with another voyager. Asurion still has plenty in stock

How about you claim based upon what is actually wrong instead of committing insurance fraud by saying it is lost. There is zero reason to lie here other than you are just a dishonest person.

Try telling that to your car insurance company if you pulled off the same thing with them - its the same thing. Dollar amount doesn't matter - fraud is fraud. Trying to "legitimize" it just shows your lack of moral aptitude.
