Iphone coming to Verizon??? Perhaps, we'll see . . .
I just wanted everyone to know that I will be watching the news like everyone else this Monday June 7th to see if Apple makes an announcement for the new Iphone and if it will be coming to Verizon.
I for one am very satisfied with my moto droid. Before I bought my Droid (12/2009), my wife was even discussing switching over to ATT. But I told her that in 2010 the Iphone was coming to Verizon. She had a Blackberry storm 1 now and still has it. 2 months after I got my droid, she said that she was no longer interested in the Iphone since seeing my droid.
Looks like Apple lost 1 perhaps 2 potential customers since they had to have such a long exclusive deal with ATT. I can not recall any other cell phone exclusivity contract more than ...

I would say that ATT did not loose 2 potential customers in as much as Apple lost 2 potential Iphone customers.
Let me clarify this point. Let's say Apple asked and got a 2 yr exclusivity agreement with ATT, and let's say Verizon got the Iphone Summer of 2009. My wife would not have bought her Blackberry March of 2009 if we thought the Iphone was coming out June/July 2009. My wife was more gunho for the Iphone this time last year.

I hope you are right that folks will be able to handle the news whether good or bad. Here as well as other places on the Internet there are folks who seem from the postings holding their breath for Apple to announce June 7 when the Iphone is coming to Verizon.
I hope that all of the county mental health dept across the country has extra staff on call that Monday when the news that the new Iphone is only going to be available for ATT network.
I hope and pray that ERs all across the country will be able to deal with the over dosings from depressed (previously hopeful) Verizon customers that had pinned all hope on the new Iphone for Verizon that never materialized next Monday morning.

I guess I am lucky being a general pediatrician that most folks old enough to worry about whether Verizon is getting the Iphone are too old to be my patients.
But wait, the parents of my patients may do something stupid next Monday and I still may be left holding the bag sort of speak when their distraught children come in to see me.
