SID refines a cellular phone's home service area.
It would be specific to your location.. Are you trying to activate it on a Verizon wireless MDN?

I am going through pageplus.
I think I may have screwed up the programing as Verizon asked me to dial *22898 and I think they now have my number in limbo. I tried calling my cell number and Verizon says the number is not active. It should be prepaid with pageplus.

Ah, well the MIN and SID will be carrier specific. You will have to get that from PagePlus.

I have the info. The phone is still not programming. Do you have any suggestions? I am able to call my cell # and get the voice mail so Pageplus has the number. The phone isn't accepting the programming. I set the phone to factory setting already.

You have a Verizon phone... that's trying to "call home" to activate...

*BUT*

Your not a Verizon customer. Your a Page-Plus customer.

Your phone says "hey Verizon, what's my number?"

Verizon says "That MEID (unique phone ID Number) isn't in our database as an active line" and craps on itself.

You can't auto-activate a Verizon phone with Verizon servers and Verizon services when your *NOT* a Verizon customer.

You need to call or go into a Page-Plus store.

Welcome to the service you get for a cheaper price. Enjoy the stay.

They're the only ones who can help you reprogram the phone to their specific attributes.

This is the Verizon forum, so you'll find a lot of Verizon answers, but you're a PagePlus customer. You won't find a whole lot to help here, unless a PagePlus employee happens to be on this forum.

Not trying to be a jerk, just stating the facts of your situation.

Thanks for the input. Although Page Plus is the cheapest prepaid service I have found, I'm having a lot of frustration with it. Someone gave me a page plus phone so I went ahead and signed up & paid for the monthly service. Well, the clamshell promptly phone broke in half (weak hinges). Now I can't find a dealer within 200 miles. I called Page Plus and when I 😡 got through to Cust Serv they gave me a list of dealers supposedly within 25 miles. I called them all and the phone numbers are no longer in service. 🙄 So my 30 days just expired leaving me with almost 800 minutes and over a thousand text minutes that are now wiped out. Guess I'm stuck with more expensive prepaid service. Don't know how they stay in business. Oh, their webs...
