The only HTC Droid is the HTC Incredible. The Eris is not branded "Droid". If you are talking about the Eris (6200) then nothing has been announced.

It is the Droid Eris (most reps called it the HTC Droid or just "Eris" but the offical name is the Droid Eris)

Well, HTC says it did not get the Droid branding as did the Director for this area with Verizon.
Regardless, he asked a question about the "HTC Droid". No way to know what he meant without asking.

I get you, texas, to an extent, though here in the west area it's called the HTC Droid Eris. Saying "HTC Droid" is like saying "Kellogs Cereal," it doesn't specify any particular "model."

Verizon says it is starting the ota roll out for the HTC Droid Eris to os 2.1 today. Who know if it will happen or long it will take it to get to everyone. Check out android forums.com for more info.

Hey Tex arent you an ATT guy anyway? And yep I mean the HTC Droid Eris, do you have this phone? I have two them and on the box that they came in, in BIG letters it say DROID across the middle of the box and in little letters its say Eris across the top. And until the Incredible came out this was the only HTC phone with Verizon that was called the Droid. Tex I have been running the leaked 2.1 update for some time now and it's pretty cool but since it was the leaked and not the final one it does have a few bugs but it was still worth the upgrade, I am hopping the Verizon version will fix all of that.
