ok..I am spoiled with the "always on " email on my storm. We want to switch to the moto droid next month for our NE2. Will the moto droid have the same feature as the storm or how does email work.I get moderate volume from my cox and gmail accounts so this is kinda important before we go into a corp store..Also what are the thoughts on the Omnia II...

Go with the droid and don't look back.

People report the blackberry is faster, but when put side by side their is only a few second different. The droid is much faster and smoother. Internet runs better, Apps are better. You really can't go wrong other than losing BBM.

I know....that was pretty much the sole reason I gave up my droid so quick. Kinda pathetic, lol.

With the bold/tour 2 being so boring. I think the htc incredible or Nexus one will be my next phone.

I agree with Mossburg031.

I have people tell me email is so much better on Blackberry. But my Gmail, side to side, averages out to be just the same (plus, on my Droid, I have five years' worth of email history at my disposal). If you run Hotmail, Yahoo, or your ISP's email, you can set the Droid to check as soon as every five minutes. The Blackberry BIS is set up to check your ISP email for you every fifteen minutes, or less if you're sending and receiving email constantly.

If you were running corporate email, that's be different answer. Go Droid.

If lightning-fast email delivery and Outlook synchronization are the KEY reasons you have a smartphone, stick with Blackberry. Putting your Droid on "check email every 5 minutes" will kill your battery if you monitor more than 2 non-gmails, but if you don't mind carrying a spare, you could go that route.

Android is superior in every other way I can think of (except for voice commands via BT headset).

I am a big Blackberry fan. I have the curve. I hate storms and think the Droid is the best touch screen with full keyboard on the market right now. I only wish I was Verizon so I could get it lol

Who are you with? There are other better options for a Droid phone out there to check out.

I like the Moment, it's full-screen with a touch keyboard. Not sure if it's the *best*, but I think it works great.

Both being Android phones, I'd imagine the Droid and Moment function similarly.

For the first time, I'll have to respectfully disagree with you. The reason? The Supplemental GUI on both phones to deliver the Android OS User Experience is different and this is what will account for things like speed, smoothness and efficiency across the phone's functions. (e.g. - the Motorola Droid phones, irrespective of which carrier you have, are equipped with the Moto Blur GUI whereas the Samsung Moment is just Stock Android OS on its own. If you want something truly worth the whil...

Heh, no worries. I didn't really know what I was talking about anyways, hence the 'I imagine' disclaimer.
