New to Verizon

I am a new customer, coming from AT&T, my first day with Verizon was yesterday and the service is great, whats not so great, the $10 data for 25mb, with AT&T that $10 got me unlimited data,I do not use data that much anyway so I did not think it would be a big deal but it turns our 25 mb is a joke. I got on line for about 3 minuets just to so how much faster my new service was and yes it is faster but in those three little minutes I used 3.659 mb, so this tells me that the 25mb package is not really good for much, wounder why they push this on people.

You should be jumping for joy because you have great service now. It pays to do your homework, then you don't have to make post on how you had this and that when you had AT&T service 🙂

I just switched over tuesday from AT&T. I started to go with the I-phone which is a great phone but I wanted better coverage so I went with Verizon and got the Droid. Love the phone so far and there's the one spot I hit everyday going to work when I was with AT&T I'd tell the caller I'd call them back because the call would drop well I was anxious to see what would happen with Verizon and the call didn't drop!!! Way to go Verizon!!

I also have the Motorola Droid and love it.

I always enjoy hearing from someone who has widen their horizons with Verizon 😁

The Droid really 'sucks', and I mean that in a good way -- in that it sucks RF (radio waves) out of thin air. There are a 2 places in my city where I may loss a call occ (about 50% of the time) on one of my prev LG phones I had with Verizon, but so far I have not dropped a single call with my Droid that I have had for about 2 months in those same 2 locations.

Motorola has always been outstanding in the RF department. I've the Motorola Barrage and it trumps any verizon phone reception and call clarity wise, but it sounds like the Droid is on par with the Barrage.

On what kind of handset?

Most of the handsets on VZW that require the data are better than the phones on AT&T that get the $10 unlimited plan. They are limited which is why AT&T is willing to offer the lower amount.

I support that idea be sure you let verizon know that you're not down with their 25MB of data before you leave.

And ATT requires data on their messaging phones as well (though they were smart about it and made texting cover that).

But that's ok, I know it's hard to see this stuff with Blinders on.

Would you rather people sign up for the company referenced in your username? You know, the same company who copies Verizon Wireless' pricing within hours or days in the event of changes? XD
