Just throwing this out here for thoughts... Do we see in the future having one price for unlimited data for family plans instead of 30 dollars a line? I know on the old plan could add it for 10 dollars a month per line and I wish they still had that because I have 4 lines and cant afford 30.00 a line for data. I only ask because I see AT@T has this on their family plans.

It depends on what phone you're talking about.
If you mean a normal phone and not a smartphone, Verizon tried that and found only a small percentage of people actually using those plans - hence their retirement. By the way, many reps still have access to the plans that were retired.
If you mean smartphones, you're talking about something different than the plan that was retired, as well as something different than what AT&T offers. AT&T is offering something similar to what Verizon just retired, and those plans do not apply to smartphones.
As for if it will ever happen for smartphones, there's always hope. We begged for unlimited family share text for years and eventually got it. We begged for cheaper smartphone plans for years,...

It would rock for smart phones and they could even up my ETF all they wanted because I would be in heaven... Currently I do not have a smartphone because I cant fork up the 30 dollars more per month but I would love to have unlimited data on my 3 lines that have multimedia phones without paying 30 bucks a line. So there is a chance if I talk to a rep they could still get me the old plan which would add unlimited data for 10 a month per line? Thanks

I doubt you will find a store front employee with access to the old calling plans. If you currently have a premium or connect plan you still have access to adding lines of service under these plans. If this is not the case for you, there is little that can be done. The system automatically drops the plans if you are not grandfathered in. 😁

The fist many days, we had access to it still. The old plans are gone now. I can add a new Premium or Connect secondary to an existing Premium or Connect plan, but that's it.

Lets make sure we get this straight guys... For a smartphone (blackberry... droids... etc) there is a $30 charge for unlimited data, which is exactly what other carriers charge across the board. The exception is if your on a feeble carrier like Metro or Boost... If you have a 3G capable device you can put 25MB of data for $9.99, which is now mandatory for all 3G phones, with the exception of the Chocolate 3 and Krave. I hear Verizon is working on a Family Data plan that will include smartphones... but who knows when that will come to fruition. Lets not kid ourselves, whether it be Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, or whatever... We will always have people who want more for less. I've been through the gamut of carriers and Verizon is by far the best. Allow me to clarify.
"If you have a 3G capable device you can put 25MB of data for $9.99"
Let's be specific by saying a 3G Multimedia phone which requires a minimum $9.99 data plan is not a smartphone.
There are currently three categories concerning data requirements:
3G Smartphone (required minimum $29.99/mo plan)
3G Multimedia (required minimum $9.99/mo plan)
Simple Feature Phone (not required, pricing the same if the feature is needed on that phone)
The $9.99 plan is for 25MB of data sent or received.
The $29.99 plan is for unlimited data sent or received.
The $44.99 plan is for unlimited data sent or received and includes the ability to synchronize PIM content and email with an Exchange or Blackberry server (corporate use)...

August 16th... Verizon released the Blackberry 8830 on that day in 2007. This year, it's a Monday. That works for me.
