You need a UMA capable phone for that. And TMO is the only one that offers it.

its not that no phone can help with reception....its just that WIFI is data-only (internet connections FYI). your phone has CDMA technology for voice.

if you work in a large building, it may block some of the reception....you may need to call and have them reset your tower registration.

Go to VZW and tell them your trouble, maybe they'll suggest a different Blackberry?

Talk to your other co-workers and see if other providers work better in your building. If its enough of an issue, switching carriers might be the only solution.

My thoughts exactly. Why drop $400-$600 for a new phone when about $200 and an ethernet cable will solve the problem for everybody in the office?

This is exactly what femtocells are for: indoor coverage in urban/suburban areas with challenging geographic problems.

I had the same problem- for about $200 one time purchase fee I got a VZW network extender-gives me 5 bars within 1500 ft of my office & uses the internet like VOIP. Works really good.
