Data plan with mobile emal
I have the LG enV Touch and I can confirm that today there's a $10/25 meg data plan that includes mobile email. I saw this online in My Verizon Account and was able to switch to this data plan (previously I had the $10 plan that didn't include mobile email). I understand that many people are negatively impacted by the plan changes that go into effect today, but this is an example where it works in the customer's favor. I'm pleased to have this feature at no additional cost.

Ok, the subject now says Mobile "email". Where was spell check when I needed it? 🙂

spell check is now an optional feature offered by phonescoop that can be yours for the low low cost of 10 a month. 🤣

I guess I don't value the mobile email feature enough. As long as you are already paying $9.99, I suppose it works out well for you.

Yes, it's really handy having quick access to my hotmail. Now the only problem is the mobile email app doesn't render html - all the html in my messages shows as code. It ain't pretty and it's hard to read. I wonder if there's a workaround?

Would you want it if there were one? You'd burn through your 25MB even faster that way.
Even some smartphones don't render HTML in email (most newer ones will).

If he is already seeing the code, then rendering it does not add any data size, but is just a matter of the email app showing what the code intended. The code is there and has been downloaded.
Now if it had been sent in plain text rather than HTML, there would be a big difference.

Viewing an HTML email on a capable device will also pull data for graphics which are not actually sent in the email. I don't know about you, but some of my HTML emails can get fairly graphic-intensive.

True! I wasn't thinking of all the pics one might be pulling.
