Question about stores

So me and a friend go into the corporate store yesterday to upgrade. We know what we want before we walk in. I'm wanting the Rock, he's wanting the touch pro 2. We go in and um they've got the droid, eris, imagio, 2 blackberries, a rouge and some lg then 3 netbooks and 4 aircards and that's it. So we ask about the phones we want and they tell us they are only available online. Do all corporate stores have that crappy of a selection? If so what in the heck's the point of going to a store to purchase your phone?

The Touch Pro 2 can be ordered by the store rep and shipped to you. They are not in stores, the Rock should be in the store, if not they can order it, or find a corporate store near by that has it. If not call customer service and order the phones.

Yeah but why bother driving to the store and waiting in line if I'm gonna have to wait for it to be sent to me in the first place? I'm better off just going to verizonwireless.com and ordering the dangthing at home and save time and hassle. So what exactly is the point of the store if I have to wait for it to be shipped to me because the store has nothing in stock but 6-7 phones hmmmmmmmmmmmm?

I don't know what area you live in but most corporate stores carry all of the phones. They maybe out of stock of some phones and would have to order it for you. If you want the phone from that location, ask when do they get their weekly shipment of stock to see if the phone you want comes in. Then you can request that they hold it for you. The touch pro 2 can only be ordered as of now.

Regarding the TP2, any idea why it can only be oredred on line? I'k like to at least see it before comitting that kind of money; do you think some Sprint stores might have one to play with?
Thanks-JT

I recently set out actually handle a new TP2, pre-buy. First the local VZW corp store had none (referred me to their website), the other local VZW sellers also did not stock the TP2. The local Sprint 'corp' store had none, and RadioShack (sells Sprint) had none. The local Best-Buy had a 'dummy' TP2 to heft but not working.

not sure if this is the reason...but the cost is high and so is the product loss...That might have something to do with it.

Ok if I have to wait for them to order the phone and ship it to me. Do I get the same price as online or should I just drive home order it wait same amount of time and get it cheaper?

You should order online. Store's don't match online pricing (instant rebates).

Hmmmm...maybe there is no demand for those phones and they are unwilling to commit space to them.

I dunno-every review on this has been Boffo, 5 stars even though it's a winmo device. Now that 6.5 is available on it....may be worth a two year contract.

Yeah, but high reviews doesn't mean a phone is popular with typical customers.

I can tell you, a store missing an EnV3 would have a lot more lost revenue, than a store missing a WINMO phone
