Phone Advice
Ok well since my daughter now has the Droid from the verizon store I am thinking I should just get the Droid also. I am trying to hold out to see what other new phones may come out over the next few weeks. So since I know there are tons of reps on this site (lol) please tell me what is going to be better about any of the new phones rumored to be coming soon. (compaired to the Droid)

No! Get a Droid! Your daughter will be TICKED if you get a better phone than she has and demand that you take her Droid back despite the fact that it is outside of her 30 day return period. I don't believe VZW will release a new Android phone until late February to avoid returns of phones sold during the holiday season.

Lol that is funny. I am supposed to have the best phone I am the mom. She loves her Droid and she knew there would be other phones coming out and she didn't want to wait.

Go ahead and get the Droid. Sign a 1 year contract if you want so you can upgrade in 10 months 😉. The Droid will be one of the best phones on Verizon for a while. There will be other phones tho, but the Droid will be one of the best.

Order the Droid online. It's a fantastic smartphone with a great OS, best screen of any phone out there, incredible speed, apps galore, the best web browser I have used and supports OTA updates.

The way this wacky industry works, there will almost always be some device that's way, way better then the current selection only 2 or 3 months from now (unless you're stuck on iPhone and refuse to entertain other alternatives.)
That's just the way it is, and it's not going to change in the next 3 years. Get the latest and greatest when you can, suck it up watching other people get better phones for a year or so, then do it again.
There is NO WAY to be on the leading edge all the time unless you only want one breed of phone and the breeder only makes one model at a time.

LG Windows mobile phone and you have apple's big announcement coming in june... other then that just a few other Droid devices is all I have seen...I would bet you are safe for some time, plus droid is one of those products that will get updates as they come ouot so any new or cool software will probably be updated to go on there as well...
