Well I know I've said it before but I think I am going to rescind my first reaction. I want the Storm 2 now. I hated Touch screens but I hear that the touch response thats on the Storm 2 is supposed to blow the iphone touch's screen away. Look forward to getting it. Anyone have any thought?

I have been holding my NE2 since July so I can get this Storm2...I just wish RIM or Verizon had the decency to acknowledge its existence and announce when it will be available. This waiting is killing me!
...
Storm 2 touchscreen is definitely an improvement over the original. The Storm 2 in general is an improvement. Nice device.

I am elegible for an upgrade now. I dont want to wait for my NE2 in march 10. The Storm 2 is going kick some bootay!!

i will never buy any storm again. i was burned big time by the original. i would never support a manufacturer and service provider that could steal my money like that and release what basically was an unfinished phone.then announce a new version was under development 6 months after it was released.they promised firmware updates and have released maybe 3 official and a dozen leaked. BS. the storm is the biggest piece of sh@t i have ever owned. and i have owned dozens of smart phones.

I have had the storm since day 1 and haven't had any issues with it what so ever. I am on the thing prob. 13 hours out of the day and don't lose much memory or anything. You just got 1 of the lemons, there is a few in everything that is made!
...
There was more than a "few" lemons tho.
This phone was rushed from the beggining. It should have been released in January. Not November, but alas our retail driven culture forced verizon to demand the phone get released before the holidays.
I used for about 6 weeks and it was a nightmare, but I know some people had no issues. Hopefully this phone is a significant improvement.

it has nothing to do with lemons, it is not a well thought out phone. i bought mine the day it came out and i still use it. the user interface sucks, it is choppy and does not flow well. 2 things that drive me crazy is that the mute button doesnt work, wtf? how could RIM possibly release this phone without a screen lock of some type while you are on a call. did no one put this phone to there face during the testing of this phone? i have to buy an app to provide a feature that should be integral to the overall design of the phone, please. i might get an imagio and cant wait for an HTC android phone with the specs of the HD2, rumored to be the Predator? Goodbye RIM you lost me, after 4 models of phones that i loved, the storm killed it. i woul...

A lot of the issues you have with the phone will be addressed in the new phone. Example, there is a lock on the screen during calls to avoid muting. Why should VZW give you some kind of discount because you bought the first storm? They will not be giving any kind of out of the ordinary discounts to make anyone purchase the phone. The imagio is a nice device, nice battery life and has mobile tv that is crystal clear.

You would "consider" the Storm 2 if given a discount? That is mighty big of you.

you are a prime example of whats wrong with customers these days. you want everything to be 100 percent perfect and you want it now and you want it cheap. RIM didnt want to release in november because of the issues but verizon was so pressured by people wanting that phone for the holidays that they were forced. then there was issues with the phone (duh) and now you want money off a new one cause you have the original.... WHAT???.... I personally think verizon did what they had to do pushing the phone out and if im not mistaken didnt they replace the first gen for customers with newer models for free??? i just think you need to go to android and have a nice life pal cause RIM is a great company been doing business for a very long time and the...

i dont have to have it 100% but damn, i work hard for my money. i didnt want sh@t now, i heard a new touchscreen BB was coming out, i saw all of the hype of the multimillion dollar ad campaign and went the day it was released and got it. you must be retarded to say that it was the customers fault for wanting the phone so bad that it was released early and not complete. WTF. people who wanted to buy the storm would have bought it whether it was in november or january, but that doesnt even matter because it has taken a full year to get this POS to even somewhat be a decent device. 5.0.230 is the first firmware that has actually made this phone worth a sh@t. a full year and you still have to have a third party app to lock the screen while on a ...
