I have used the alltel one, mail.alltel.net, one and now because of the merger it has been disabled. Neither alltel cs or verizon will help me with this, they said "they dont support email" I use cox email on my phone. i have googled help on this and nothing has worked. I am desperate. If i cant send email from my cox account then the phone is useless. By the way I have the HTC Touch Pro. PLEASE any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good afternoon, are you saying that you can't send email from your cox account using the settins below. Usually you would enter one of the settings below depending on where you are but I do know that the Touch Pro from Alltel still receives email from POP3 accounts now that we are now under Verizon. I receive email from Verizon and my windows windows Live account. You should be able to setup a new account for your cox email account with one pair of the settings below. Just choose to enter the information manually and it should work so you can send and receive email from your Cox account. Hope this helps you 🙂 🤤 😁

Cox Central incoming mail server: pop.central.cox.net
Cox Central outgoing mail server: smtp.central.cox.net

If the cox settings don't work... work around is sign up for a gmail account, then you can use their outgoing server address smtp.gmail.com and use you user name and password. Gmail also has how to's in their help section.

You will just be using their outbound server address.
