Ok please don't blast me for asking but I know that many cust service reps are on the site so figured I should ask.

I had a bb storm...lots of issues on my 3rd one acutally.....has there been any talk of letting storm users out of contract due to all of the issues?

thanks for any help

That won't happen. They will either keep replacing the phone, or offer you another model, but letting you out of the ETF is not gonna happen.

No, sounds like they are trying to find any way to get out of their contract without a etf.

no they are not....the storm has had many many issues. just research it and see the slurry of problems...why is it whenever someone asks a simple quetion they are jumped on? Now wonder the forums have slowed considerably on here...wow

it was a simple question out of curiousity

I would venture to say every handset has a "slurry" of issues, especially a smartphone - some imaginary and some not so imaginary. An issue to one person may not be an issue to another.

A lot of the issues with the current release of the phone are user created.

And you were asking how to negate your contract without paying the terms of your contract. To expect anything less than negative reactions on a forum populated by people who have to deal with the same questions day in and day out is being unrealistic.

Judging from your posts you obviously want out of your verizon contract, not a different phone from the storm. You want to know ways to avoid ETFs, or find a carrier who is willing to buy out the remainder of your contract. You've been looking for a way out of the contract for months now. Your issue isn't with the phone, you are just trying to use that if it means you can bend the rules a bit more. If verizon...

I agree with Menno...I was contemplating switching from Verizon and am too excited about the new phones...If your that unhappy check out Craigslist or even Ebay for a new or refurbished phone...Or if your that unhappy with the service see if someone you know wants to buy it out from you....Other than that..Good luck getting out of your service plan!!

Coincidence. Today I took a friend to a local Verizon store to get her ported over from ATT. While the rep. helped us, nearby, two other customers expressed dissatisfaction with their new 'Storms'. Both asked if they could change phones.

I spoke with one nearest to me and she seemed overwhelmed/ignorant of the Storm's capabilities.

We left before the Storm complaints were resolved.

Do you have the newest software? it helps with Lag a lot. The .75 really helped as well. Also, 3rd party programs can significantly slow down the device.

The biggest thing I see with lag in up to date devices is third-party software, and people who have 3+ applications running at the same time (past the standard set up) That's why I and others said that most of the issues we see people come in with blackberries is user-created because the new software is a lot better.

First you need to download new software, the slurry of problems you have read are from the original launch. I own, and know a lot of people who own the Storm and all of us love it with very few issues. Some third party apps I have downloaded lagged my phone a little, but after downloading newer software I have no issue. If you still can't handle it... even if it is BS, just call Verizon again, if they have replaced it 3 times already then the next step would be to send you a new one or a phone of equal value. You might be able to talk them into sending you an Omnia. Otherwise..NO you don't get out of your ETF.

If your true objective is to just get out of Verizon then PAy the ETF and ebay the Storm
