Air Card return

DoubleHelix

May 21, 2009, 3:14 PM
Went into a VZ retail Store. Purchased USB (UM 175) aircard but it had to be Dfilled from the warehouse.
I now want to exchange it for the MIFI 200.

It is within the 30 days and I have everything in pristine condition for return.

If I send it back via FedEx to VZ and re-order the MIFI, ( I may not be near the store in the next week) does the original salesperson who wrote the first order for me lose the credit for the sale? He was so helpful, I want to make sure he gets the credit for it.

I should add, I know there is a $35.00 re-stocking fee and I want to make sure he gets credit for the MIFI replacement.

They won't lose credit for the sale !! The only way a rep loses credit is if you cancel the line within 6-months or if you downgrade the features within 6-months then they get a charge back after 6- months you can do anything you want and it won't affect the rep at all! Hope that helps 😎

Thank you very much. The guy was so helpful that I would hate to have him penalized for my indecision.

I wish there were more people like you in our industry. Ever considered holding a class teaching other customers the proper way to treat retail reps in this world? I applaud you. Standing "O", the whole bit. 🙂 😁

No problem I always like people like you who actually care about the reps!! To many people get it return it go to another store and do the same thing!! Which is one reason verizon added the $35 restocking fee !! Sometimes I think it should be waived but who am I to say!

Well interestingly enough, I exchanged the UM175 for the new MIFI (which works really well) and they did not charge me a $35.00 re-stocking fee.

yea that's awesome !! Maybe they didn't want to lose your business!! You could have elected to cancel so maybe that's why they did it!! Hard times are really ahead of us most think they are in the past but I say our country will sink deeper into a recession which sucks!

Yes and he was saying that VZ may do away with commission for salespeople????

He called it a universal rep, where customer care and sales all sell with the same salary they have now with no commisson.

That sounds like a bad idea to me.

You won't get good salespeople with that. I don't know what it is on the direct side, but I know with indirects our salary is next to nothing. it used to be pretty amazing... 11 years ago, but now its basically on par with an order taker job (with great benefits). Where you make your money is commission.

yeah totally. i'm indirect too and hourly wage is just sad. and i agree, non-comission sales people are less motivated sales people. they get paid reguardless so they put in almost no effort. of course this is a generallity but i think it holds true.
