Cell Phones for parents

I am responsible for upgrading my line and the two my parents use on my plan.

Is anything on the horizon that would make me change my mind on the Samsung Omnia (for myself)?

Any recommendations for parent-friendly gadgets that won't confuse them? They currently have Moto e815, so anything similar would be great.

Thanks!

Touch Diamond would be a consideration if you're considering the Omnia. It should be released before the end of the month, but the Omnia is going to be WAY less expensive.

As for elderly parents, the Samsung Knack is the obvious suggestion. If you want to step it up just a little and get a camera for them you could look at the Samsung u340 or the LG 5500.

I'd say stick to the Omnia. Go with VX8360's for the parents or if they're in love with Moto's (how someone could be right now I dunno...) a pair of W755's. Those are mid-level phones and relatively inexpensive while not just giving them junk.

I agree with the Lg 8360 suggestion. Very user friendly but not a cheapy phone. I like it 🙂

If there's nothing wrong with your parents' E815s, I would not replace them with any of the phones mentioned here so far. That Moto is better than a lot of phones Verizon has out presently (not PDAs obviously, phones). Just MHO.
