Hello,

I am new to the Verizon network just switched from Alltel. I was curious if there were any sites out there that people use to get their ringtones/wallpapers etc off of that is free or a minimal fee. I have been using Myxer.com and I don't like the format of the site as it is to hard to find the artist or song that I would like to send to the phone. If you folks could help me out that would be fantastic.

Thank you,

JD

For ringtones, I like to use http://www.ventones.com/ I've not had any problems making my own ringtones on there and putting them on my phone. It's all free. And of course, many phones allow you to use songs that you may have in it or on a memory card to set as a ringtones.

For wallpaper, I mainly use pictures of my kids either taken with my phone, or loaded on a memory card.

Welcome to VZW! I hope your relationship is long and happy! ๐Ÿ™‚

I use MyXer tones... www.myxter.com

You upload you own music, select the part, and send it too the phone.

They also have Wallpapers.

And it's free.

ooo, it is. haha.

Well, no matter where he looks, i doubt he will find one with pre-made ones because it's illeagle to do that, but its not if you make them your self. Thats why you can't find major songs on those sites.

This is from what I have heard. I could be wrong.

I think you're pretty accurate. I was using myxertones for a while and the copyrighted songs were available for free but sadly that has changed. However I did realize that I could use my music on my pc so all is great!!

With www.mytinyphone.com and www.free-ringtones.ie you have to save the file(s) to your computer then email the file(s) to your cell (your10digitnumber@vzwpix.com) then when you get the message you can choose "options" then "save as ringtone" otherwise the sites will charge you a monthly fee. You can save alot of work by using www.phonezoo.com which lets you do pictures or tones (both pre-loaded and make-your-own) and it's free. I've used all three sites for years.....have not paid for tones in forever!!
