Early upgrade

Will Verizon be doing away with the early upgrade after a year anytime soon (or have they already?)

If they do anything, it will be to increase the amount required to qualify (which I haven't heard anything about).

And if they do any changed, it will always take effect 'after you renew your contract AFTER the date the change goes into effect. Meaning that if they changed the plan tomorrow, you would have one more early upgrade (if you are currently eligible) before you have the new upgrade policies apply to you.

Verizon is very good at not breaking contract, so they are also very good at grandfathering people in (at least until the next upgrade.)

So if you currently are on a plan that can do annual upgrades, you will be able to do so, no matter if verizon changes their policy in between
