Verizon/Alltel merger question.
I cannot find any info on what is going to happen to Alltel's GSM footprint that they inherited from Western Wireless in 2005. Will Verizon keep it, or is some of the GSM footprint going to be divested as a part of the FCC's requirements to divest 100 markets?
Any info will be most helpful, thanks.

So does that mean that Verizon is going to have GSM phones as well as CDMA phones?
No, this means that Verizon will continue to offer GSM roaming to AT&T and T-Mobile, just as Alltel did.
