300 minute plan?

bc10

Someone had mentioned that VZ had an unmentioned 300 minute plan for 34.99. I was live chatting online with customer service and they said the cheapest plan they had was the 450 minutes @ 39.99. Can anyone confirm the 300 minute plan? Thanks

thanks MidnightDT, I thought it was you that said that, but wasn't sure. Do you know if I could I add a data plan on to this voice plan?

You can add Data, but be aware that the 300 minute plan does not give you Unlimited IN Network calls. You have 300 peak with Unlimited nights and weekends only.

^This In my opinion, you'll find the extra $5 a month to be worth the national IN-Calling unless you really don't use the phone for calling.

no, I agree...for $5 more that's the better deal. BTW, its not really the money issue, its just that I checked my last six months of voice usage and never went over the 300 mark. A good point was made with the IN calls though. That's why I come here to ask.

Also, I dont think this plan is available in all markets. Only select ones.

I've found that to be generally true. It's not available in my market anymore, at least for newer accounts. I've seen it in my list of options when doing a price plan change on established accounts, but not on anything that was new in the last six months or so.

I think that once VZW went with Nationwide and retired America's Choice II, those older loyalty or off-sheet plans started going away.

Additionally, I can speak to my own experience on minutes - I talk over 1000 minutes each month, but only use 20-80 minutes that count. If I didn't have IN calling, I'd be paying out the nose for it. The extra $5 for the 450 Basic plan is probably worth it for most people.

If you are subscribed to the more expensive data plan (44.99 normally) then it is not worth it to drop down.

79.99 = 39.99 voice + 40 data
79.98 = 34.99 voice + 44.99 data

It is worth at looking into if you were subsribed with the $29.99 data to begin with, because then you didn't really change that cost.

This plan is only offered in certain northeast area markets. You would better off getting the 450 min plan with the data.
