READY TO PULL MY HAIR OUT...

WHATEVERWORKS

Nov 25, 2008, 10:28 PM
I JUST CANT SEEM TO FIND A PHONE I LIKE...

I SIGNED UP FOR VERIZON ON 11/11/08 AND GOT THE DARE....

HATED IT BECAUSE OF THE TOUCH SCREEN.

GOT THE VOYAGER.... DIDN'T LIKE THAT I HAD TO FLIP IT.

NOW I HAVE THE BLACKBERRY STORM AS OF TODAY 11/25/08. AND I HATE IT TOO...GOT IT FOR A GREAT DEAL TO 99.99.... I WISH I COULD SCAN MY RECIEPT, BUT I DONT HAVE A SCANNER...

ANYWAY....

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

I NEED A GOOD, SOLID PHONE FOR TEXT MESSAGING AND EMAIL, PLUS A GOOD WEB BROWSER... I THINK MY ONLY OTHER OPTION IS THE CURVE...

ANY SUGGESTIONS... I DONT WANT THE OMNIA.

BEST BUY MIGHT BE GETTING ANGRY AT ME... LOL... BUT THEY ARE REALLY NICE

The curve is the only sensible option since you've gone through 3 really good phones.

so you got the 1st phone but hated it due to the touch .. but then went basically to 2 phones with the same touch idea ... ? and on top of it all you bought it threw a indirect dealer .. then you want to pay 30 dollars to be able to text .. wow .. i don't understand people sometimes .. voyager would of been the best bet .. it is a good solid phone short of the charging port .. but thats due to people breaking it talkin on car chargers or not pluging it in right but thats another post.. it is one of the best to text with due to font size on the screen and button size and over all phone size and if you are only doing a pop3 style email .. yahoo.. aol or msn .. then the curve is basicly over kill cause if your not going exchange server then ...

So you got 2 touch screen only phones?

You pretty much deserve whatever you get after that. Get the curve, stop whining, and learn to make more educated choices.

and take off caps lock.

Agreed do some homework before you buy a phone.

This site is full of reviews and info. If you dont do your homework your at the mercy of the salesman. Best Buy is not going to let you keep exchangeing phones for ever. Each time you exchange a phone it costs alot of money to re program and flash the unit.

My advice shop around and see what works for you.

Oh and stop with the caps.

Wait to see the Saga soon. NOt a lot of bells and whistles, but it seems to have the necessary features.

I used the saga today. and other then the fact (or my opinion) that its UGLY I aqctually liked it alot.

That "Optical Mouse" circle in the center was really cool and worked very well, it was a little slow scrolling but you can probably adjust that and it still worked fine. the touch screen seemed pretty responsive. the webbrowerser is good, its Opera Mobile so its HTML. and the keyboard while ugly was very good! I could type fast and accurate.

if they made this phone all black or something it would be selling like crazy I bet.

Oh god you are annoying. The only time I have been through that many new phones is when they were "buggy". That is ridiculous. There are reviews on here, and you can ask questions.. not to mention so many other sites. Why piss us all off with your stupidity?

Educate yourself, and try again. I would have stuck with the Voyager.. but I forgot you don't like touch phones. I have an old LG VX10 in my closet if you want that instead.

I wanted to thank everyone for giving me the "insight" on the Storm. I was thinking getting the Storm, but it seems that it is mostly negative reviews I have been hearing.
I have had the Dare since July, I like the multi-media of the phone. But when it comes to phone clarity, my old E815 and the original L-Env were much clearer than the Dare.
Does anyone have the HTC Pro? I am thinking of skipping the Storm all together and just get the HTC Pro.
By the way I own both a AT&T phone and an Verizon phone. The Dare is my main phone for everyday use. The AT&T phone is a disposal number I use for only business purpose.
Please, Please this NOT intended to start a "Flame" war. I have been a Verizon customer since "03".
