I found this on howardforums and it completely works. Remove VZNAV.....thats it.

WATCH THE DIFFERENCE....it is night and day without Nav on there. Smooth and responsive AND amazing. I did this for 3 customers yesterday and they love me for it. You will love me now too !!!

VZ navigator is preloaded on the phone. Does he mean to not activate the feature...or just remove it all together?

remove it

the phone will reset

watch the difference once it has been removed. amazing is the only word I can describe the storm with now that i removed it off there. I have no idea why the nav does this to the pda, but i wasnt going to use the nav anyway ( I have on star and garmin in all my vehichles ).

remove it asap.

All,
This sounds hokey. He did not provide any supporting evidence or a link that it will work. No link to howardforums and I could nto find this info there.

He maybe just coercing you all to remove the VZNav app. Personally I could care less about the Nav app cause I refuse to pay $10 a month for the service. But I wouldn't uninstall anything without some supporting documentation.

Godfather, please post a URL to support your statement.

wow seriously dude you can remove VZNav at anytime off any phone and cause no damage. Seriously, u need to go see a shrink because your paranoid. I own one and it worked so well for me I thought I would share it and I dont think I need to provide proof here on a forum, you either chose to do or not. Get off the pulpit.

Here is the link paranoid one:

just wanted to change the title, so people are not scraed off by one person declaring this dangerous. There is and never has been any danger to removing VZNav off any device we have sold ever. Ever. Very uneducated comment.

Im not paranoid to remove any app. Your original post didnt have too many details other than to remove it. I was looking for some detailed explanation as to why the Nav affects the performance. But I guess its just VZ bloatware. Sometimes I see people say things to others that are technically challenged like: "Just go to command prompt and type 'FORMAT C:' to clean up all your viruses. Yes it will clean up the viruses but everything else too. 🙂 I just was looking for a lil more validation as to what and why to delete NAV. If not for me but for the rest of the community.

Go into the Settings option. Then click Advanced Options. There is a option to add/remove programs from there. It may also be considered a service book
