Early termination fee question
I have been long customer with verizon wireless. I have been meaning to get a smart phone with the email and internet capability. After reading all news, I think Iphone 3g may suite for my need. I live in greater LA area. Therefore, ATT network issues may not be too concern in my area.
I have reviewed my plan and my 2 year contract expires on 06/12/2009. My NE2 is available on 02/09/2009.
I was wondering how much will be for early termination to switch to ATT with Iphone. Can someone give me an estimate?
Thanks.

And...if you ask someone who is an at&t fan, they'll say Verizon is not all it's cracked up to be. Changing carriers for a specific phone is a bit....silly. There are always other reasons and ways to make things work with the carrier you're on.
i agree
Anyhow, I appreciate any recommendation to find me a phone to suite what I need.
1. Full html browser capability
2. Email
3. Tethering with laptop. Will not be heavy usage. Just need to be online while on the road or in business meeting.

always remember...always always always always always always always...GO TO THE STORE AND TRY IT FIRST...for the love of whoever...try it first. The biggest thing I hate hearing is "well everyone said this was a great phone but I got it and it sucked." Especially now that there is a re-stocking fee....researching is key. Don't buy a phone because it's "cool" buy it because it's what you need coughiphonecough. Ok...done my rant.
I so second that big time! That's why stores have the working displays set up, so that you can test the call quality, play with the menu options, browse the web, text, etc. to test out the device!!

I would not recommend paying the ETF to go to get an iPhone. They are very overrated and with AT&T's deal with Apple you will be required to purchase a specially tailored data plan that runs 60-70 a month from what I've heard on the forums. The iPhone 3G h...

Dawning of a new era perhaps...global markets and such. By 2015 I'm betting on there being very few carriers world wide offering cellular plans and they'll have global and "regional(i.e. national)" plans. Nice thought huh?

I think the phone lineup between the two is about to balance out...plenty of quad-band global devices launching on VZW...the network is already there, the expansion yet to come with buyouts etc. There's gonna be some interesting changes and you can get a feel by the launch of the Storm, Saga and Renown that big red is gonna try to attack big blue on a global front now (since they do have a global traveling buddy in Voda).
