WOW, customers need to get over the storm

Seriously people, it's a phone! It's not the end of the world if you don't get one. I'm sorry, I love the idea of the phone, but it's not a life or death situation. I had I don't know how many escalated calls about the storm today. Seriously, get over it if you don't get it today. I can't pull one of of my A** and send to you tomorrow so what's the point of complaining about it????

No you are not going to get the BB storm as a multi exchange from your dare because you've had multiple replacements. The storm is not comparable to any of our other phones.

We had one guy loose it claiming we were stashing a bunch of them for ourselves in the back. As if. We won't get our own for two months. Hell, I can't even order it.

wasnt verizon's fault if the rumors are true. the software version had a security issue which was discovered at the last minute and would be RIM's fault. so they had to roll it back to .65 and that limited the quantity available.

I had BB OS 4.5 on my Curve three months before Verizon released it. I used the non-Verizon edition. Was that RIM? Or perhaps it was Verizon demanding personalized tweaks to alter the OS to their specifications?

Sure, RIM makes the software, but you can't let Verizon go blameless. The carrier ALWAYS has the final say on Blackberry OS.

they havent changed anything about the blackberry OS on the storm except add VZ navigator links. there was a security issue found on version 4.7.0.82 at the last minute which caused them to have to halt shipments and sell a small number of downgraded to 0.65 os storms. I doubt thats verizon's fault but it doesnt really matter.

If you don't want people to get so excited "over a phone" then perhaps it shouldn't be hyped so much by VZW. Then on top of that, have probably the worst launch in any devices history and having people standing around in the stores an extra 45 minutes while you DOWNGRADE the firmware... 🙄

I don't believe anyone should be belligerent to a sales clerk, but you have to understand that VZW promised PLENTY of stock for this device and said there would be plenty for everyone. At least right up till the eve of the launch. Then it was a different story. Lots of people stood out in front of stores, many in the cold, at 7am in the morning, to get the device that VZW has been bragging about for weeks, only to find out that they had MAYBE 20 i...

No. I still have AT&T and the iPhone, as well as the Storm. I didn't really believe that this, or frankly any other device, would be an iPhone killer (there have been so many contenders) but I thought the Storm would be great for a more business centric device. I would never part with my iPhone but figured if the Storm was decent, would keep both. The Storms call quality is excellent. Very excellent. But that's about the best thing I can say about it at this point. I have 30 days so I'll keep it until then to give Verizon and RIM a chance to fix it and change my mind, but if this thing doesn't get a MAJOR overha...

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Cellenator: Exactly that. They had a newer version of the firmware to fix some of the things the reviewers were complaining about and the day before the launch they found a serious security flaw in the firmware upgrade. So they had to limit the stock for sale in the stores because they had to physically re-flash every single unit sold with the OLDER, BUGGIER, firmware.

I see wow i guess they really did botch the release pretty bad. i have read lots of reviews but i hadn't heard of anyone who witnessed them setting back the OS. yikes. i still believe it will be a great device, hopefully an OTA update will be there soon.

That is my hope as well. I'm sure I'm going to be attacked as a hater later (made a rhyme) when more people hit the forum but I really want to keep this and enjoy using it. So far, it's a big disappointment. Good thing I have 30 days to see what happens.
