backup assistant mb usage
so i always get this freakin call. " i'm not using data, why am i getting charged mb. the only thing i could think of is backup assist. but it shouldn't be charging me bec i have my vz." ok so info manager does state there are no mb charges when syncing from phone or website. however, i can only assume that applies to auto syncs.
so question is, does backup assistant EVER use mbs? also, other than gin browsing/mweb browsing/online games/vz nav updates/mobile email/what the freak else uses mb???

Also, I believe any Premium SMS (subscription based messages) are billed as data. These are things that push news to your phone in the form of text messaging, something that gives you jokes/horoscope/etc.

You can also expect that anything that checks for updates to pull MB. Mobile IM, Mobile Email, VZNavigator, etc - if they CHECK FOR AN UPDATE, they're browsing data features. Just running them and using them doesn't cause MB charges.
I wouldn't be surprised if syncing VZNav with the website does it too, but very few people use that feature (I do, but I have data anyway).
I've also run into situations were someone had VZNav and deleted it without unsubscribing (the Voyager lets you do this, for example), they continue to get the $9.99 VZNav fee and almost always get charged $1.99/month for no good reason other than a billing snafu. Still, I haven't heard of anyone seeing one charge without the other.
