Verizon taking over Alltel
Does anyone know when this is going to happen if everything gets approved? I've heard by the end of the year but i'm sure it's just speculation. Just curious.. 🙂

Unless someone on here is a Verizon or Alltel higher up, I doubt anyone knows what's going to happen and until the FCC approves the merger we have no idea if it will even go through.

I thought it was approved by the DOJ (Department of Justice) and the FCC hasn't finalized it yet...

maybe...i don't really care about alltel...i have verizon...work for the insurance provider...and back home alltel isn't being taken over by vzw so

FCC has not approved yet. It is scheduled to vote on it tomorrow. There has been some discussion's in regards to regulation that have been droped from tomorrow but the meeting is still on. So it appears that the alltel/verizon mostl likely be voted on tomorrow

I don’t believe it is getting voted on today!! From what I have been hearing is that Verizon might be trying to resubmit an offer for Alltell because they think they can get Alltell for a cheaper price, because of the economy!! So I guess time will only tell, but im like very one else and just want it to be done!!!
