Krave vs. Storm
Any of the experts here have some pros and cons on these two phones?
the major thing to keep in mind is blackberry's are designed for business purposes. they are great to have for average user purposes, but it might be a waste of money at around $400 for this phone if you arent going to use it for its full capability. hands on will be important for the decision on this one i think. i'm deffinetly one to purchase the latest and greatest even though i may not need it.
the krave is nasty. only downfall is the keyboard is not the easiest to use in the full opti...

blackberry devices all require data plans, no if and or but.
to be honest, if you're asking this question, you probably are better off with the motorola as you only seem to be interested in touchscreen and basic phone features, not a pda/smartphone set of features.

One is a phone. One is a pda. There is no comparing the two.

I concur. Two completely different devices.
pro: it is a motorola...good sound/signal quality
Con: it is a motorola.. poor build quality and software issues galore
Storm
Pro: badass! quality on blackberry as well as signal/battery life/ features/ customization
Only con I can think about is a required data package
I found myself wishing I had a spork to stab myself in the eyes with when I tried to use the crave. It makes me want to say f--- you right back to Motorola. 👿
Hey did you get twitterberry .8 to work? only .6 would work on my phone.

The Storm is going to be awesome anyways though, it's a Blackberry. 🤤
But I don't care for touch screens much, either.
Stick with LG! 😛

I was ready to take mine back after the first day. The touch and glide, menu navigation, web browser and overall feel are definitely an adjustment which is easy to either love or hate. Engadget says "We had a feeling we'd get a mixed bag of reviews as soon as we first saw the Motorola Krave ZN4".
And if you aren't a techie, HoFoer or whatever - forget it and take it back. My wife asked me to borrow my phone today to call the landscaper, and I swear she was ready to hurl it. "Just give me a -...

I am leaning towards going to a blackberry/PDA device as I travel a lot and need to communicate and manage my schedule on the go. I guess I'm a bit of a late adapter to new technology and was considering if I really want to go more hi-tech or not. I wanted to get an idea of what the Krave could do but I understand that the Storm is a different ballgame.
I did check out the Krave and my initial impression was it needs some work. Lots of lag and misfires while tryi...

The Krave is a "love it or hate it" phone depending on how much patience you have. The lag and misfires are largely based on woefully inadequate documentation, so if you don't know that the sensitivity of the touch pad varies from left to right it can be maddening for example.
I love the Krave as a personal phone with tons of media features, great video playback and easy editing. I think it is the best touch handset except for the lack of speed dialing, which has a patch about ready to fix.
Still, I won't be checking my business emai...
